Outreach & Service

The BBNC Community Outreach picks a charity organization every month to help children, families and the homeless in poverty.  In Oakland County the average age of a homeless person is 9 years old.  We are all fortunate to live a good life and for each of us it’s easy to help our hands or a small donation. Poverty is just around our corners and but we are able to bring smiles to peoples faces while suppling the very basic of needs. If you would like to volunteer, please join the BBNC and participate in our Community Service opportunities.  Click on the links or Logos to go directly to their website and learn more.

We all can make a big difference.   Susanne Schneewind  – Community Outreach

Over the past year the BBNC Community Outreach members have helped the “PR Kids’, with a cash donation, which helps very young pregnant girls to have a healthy pregnancy and to pair them  with a functional family.

Community Outreach is able to assist “The Lighthouse” in more than one way. Our Community Outreach unloaded boxes of food donations off of trucks and packed food baskets.  We also collected school supplies to help children to get the designated supplies they need to have a successful school year.

For nearly a dozen years the BBNC Community Outreach members have helped at the ‘Power Company’ Kids Club in Pontiac. It is an annual opportunity to assist in the wrapping of gifts donated to the club, that our kids in Oakland County have a festive Christmas.

Near and dear to our hearts is the Care House of Oakland County located in Pontiac.  Our community Outreach members participated in a Diaper Drive to help struggling families with small children.  Did you know some families use diapers twice to save on money?     Our members also had the opportunity to cook meals for those attending essential family support classes.

We helped the ‘Corner Shower and Laundry’ based in Detroit. Our members gathered donations in collecting laundry detergent, soaps, washing detergent and toothbrushes, to give the homeless an opportunity of a  shower with dignity and do their laundry.

The Bottomless Toy Chest is devoted to delivering empowering toys, craft projects and interactive activities to hospitalized pediatric oncology patients.
